Mad at MPI, man tries to sign his name in blood

Angry with MPI, a man pulled a knife in the lobby of their Brandon offices, apparently to cut his arm and then sign his name in blood, police say.

Officers were called just past 2 p.m. on Wednesday by an employee of Manitoba Public Insurance, who said a disgruntled customer had pulled out a knife in the front lobby of their building.

The man, engaged in some type of protest against the corporation, was cooperative with police when they arrived, and police say he hadn't threatened anyone.

A 47-year-old Brandon man is to appear in court on Aug. 27, on a charge of possessing a dangerous weapon.

Really? I'm surprised no one tried to leave an arm or leg at city hall when paying their city tax bill this year!
