Larry Maguire, the Conservative MP for Brandon–Souris, will be touring the Daly Overpass on 18th Street with fellow MP Peter Braid, who is also the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Infrastructure.

The pair will visit the overpass while Braid is in Brandon this Thursday.

Later in the morning, Maguire and Braid will be joined by other community leaders at a meeting at the East End Community Centre, for a discussion on how the new Building Canada infrastructure plan will work, as well as what sorts of projects are eligible under different types of funding.

The 50-year-old Daly Overpass narrows from four lanes to three as it passes over the CP railway, and has long been a traffic irritant in Brandon. It was recently placed on the provincial infrastructure five-year plan.
