Man arrested after broken window, alleged assault

Police called to deal with a broken window on Sunday morning found that their suspect had assaulted more than a pane of glass.

Officers were called to a home on White Ash Drive just past 11 a.m. that morning. At first, they heard that a man had smashed a window to break into the home, but when they arrived, they found he had actually been staying at the home, and had broken the window while allegedly assaulted the woman who lived there.

The victim says that she had been pushed and bitten by the suspect, although she did not require any medical attention.

The suspect was later found at another home, where he was arrested.

A 22-year-old Brandon man is to appear in court on Aug. 7, on charges of assault and mischief to property.
