A man who was riding a bike in Brandon's "the flats" neighbourhood ditched the two-wheels in favour of two feet after he spotted police early this morning.
The man bailed from the bike in the 1700-block of Stickney Avenue at about 3:30 a.m., and ran off, but police quickly chased him down. He was arrested underneath the Daly Overpass, where they found he was violating his curfew.
The suspect, who has an outstanding charge for attempted break and enter, was also found carrying a metal bar, which police say could be used as a break-in instrument.
A 28-year-old Brandon man was to appear in court this morning, on charges of possession of house- or vehicle-breaking instruments and breach of recognizance.
