A man who turned up at the Brandon hospital and refused to leave, despite not needing medical help, ended up in jail instead.
Police were called to the hospital around 3:45 p.m., where security said they needed help getting rid of the 25-year-old man. He'd previously been sent away, earlier in the afternoon, after causing some type of disturbance, but had returned and refused to leave even when police showed up.
While being removed, police say he violently resisted, and had to be physically restrained.
That's when officers took him up to the Brandon Correctional Centre, where he was held to prevent any further breach of the peace.
