A Brandon man who was spotted near an attempted break-in back in October has now been charged with committing it.
Police say that a resident of the 500-block of Southern Avenue spotted someone trying to break into his home with a screwdriver at that time, and officers who responded found the suspect nearby. He was identified then, but it wasn't until further investigation that police were able to tie him to the crime.
The suspect, a 28-year-old Brandon man, was arrested Thursday and has been charged with break and enter with intent.
According to police, he never made it inside the home, and nothing was taken from inside.
