A Brandon man is wanted by the RCMP in connection with a highway crash this past summer that killed two people.
Shawn Bradley Dreveski, 34, faces two counts of dangerous driving causing death, after the July 12 crash.
Dreveski was apparently behind the wheel of a delivery van that was trying to cross the Trans-Canada Highway just west of Brandon, at the intersection with Highway 270, that afternoon.
As the van tried to cross, it was hit by a westbound motorcycle, killing the motorcyclist, a 26-year-old Selkirk man. His passenger, a 25-year-old Winnipeg woman, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, and later died. Dreveski was also apparently injured in the crash.
The victims received almost immediate help from two nurses and a medic who happened upon the scene a couple of minutes after the collision.
Dreveski is believed to live in Brandon, and police have a warrant for his arrest.
Anyone with information about Dreveski's whereabouts are asked to contact the Blue HIlls RCMP's Souris office at 204-483-2854, or to anonymously contact Crime Stoppers.
