Join Dan Lett and Bruce Owen as they tweet from the first leaders debate of Manitoba's election campaign.

Today's debate, hosted by the Manitoba Teachers Society, focuses on the public and post-secondary school system, which is challenged by geography and poverty in remote areas.

NDP Leader Greg Selinger, Conservative Leader Hugh McFadyen and Liberal Leader Jon Gerrard each have their own platforms on education, but are not letting any details slip as they want to unveil them later in the campaign.

Manitobans head to the polls Oct. 4.

Education, the economy, health care, government spending, crime and Manitoba Hydro are front-burner issues.

The campaign isn't official yet as the writ has not been dropped.
