Manitobans can now register their intent to donate their organs and tissues online.

Premier Greg Selinger and Health Minister Theresa Oswald unveiled the new registry at a ceremony at the downtown Millennium Library on Monday morning.

Any Manitoba resident, 18 years and older, can register their intent to donate online.

Kristin Millar, a recent heart transplant recipient, spoke about her experience.

"It's given me my future back," she said.

The new registry website also offers the option for sharing donation decisions using Facebook, Twitter or email to encourage friends and family to register as well.
