Vincent Massey High School principal Mathew Gustafson says every tap and fountain is flushed for five minutes each morning before school begins.

Two groups of Vincent Massey students are making an academic mark.

The school's Reach For the Top team led Tuesday's regional tournament, beating Carberry Deloraine, Dauphin and Boissevain to secure the first steps towards the provincial finals.  

Meanwhile, two other students are on their way to work with in some of Canada's top genetic research laboratories. Daniel Choi and Isaac Kim were two of the 50 students selected from across Manitoba to attend the Canadian Gene Cure Foundation Gene Researcher for a Week program.
