Hey there, time traveller!

Brandon may have dodged a storm, to to relief of floodwatchers atop Assiniboine River dikes, but other flood-weary communities were not so lucky.

Melita was hammered yesterday, with a short burst of rain dropping 21.5 mm on the area, while winds whipped through at up to 93 km/h, Environment Canada said.

Other Westman towns didn't get it quite as badly. Automated ag-weather stations reported 12.6 mm in Reston with winds of 50 km/h, and 8 mm in Deloraine, with winds at 63 km/h.

Possibly the hardest hit was across the border in Saskatchewan, where Moosomin had reportedly 50 mm of rain and quarter-sized hail, with high winds. Photos showed the rain flooding Moosomin streets.

The forecast calls for clear skies today, followed by another cold front moving through tomorrow, that could bring a few more showers or storms to the region. After that, it looks like the weather will settle down for a few days.
