Brandon Sun - ONLINE EDITION

Mild days at last

You'd have to be a pretty picky person to be annoyed by the current forecast.

Environment Canada says it's going to be mild for the next few days — but not so mild that it'll get slushy and melty.

Instead, they're calling for a high of -4 C this afternoon, under mainly cloudy skies, with a chance of flurries late this morning.

Mainly cloudy skies tonight will keep the overnight temperature from dropping any further than about -10 C, and tomorrow will kick the weekend off right with clearing, partly sunny skies, and a high of -4 C.

Sunday will see a return of clouds, with periods of snow, but nothing to worry about as the temperature keeps to about -7 C that day.

Mild temperatures will stretch into next week, too, with a high of -10 C predicted for Monday, then -3 C on Tuesday, -6 C on Wednesday and -9 C on Thursday.

The normal high for this time of year is -9 C. The normal low is -19 C.
