A vehicle struck a seven-year-old girl as she attempted to cross a street in Brandon Wednesday.
She sustained minor injuries, Brandon police say.
An investigation revealed the girl was exiting a city bus that stopped in the 1500 block of 26th Street’s southbound lane.
The girl walked to the front of the stopped bus and tried to cross the street, when a westbound vehicle from Richmond Avenue turning south onto 26th Street hit her.
The child was brought to hospital with minor injuries. Police will not lay charges.
