American bad-boy rock legends Mötley Crüe will play Westman Place on Monday, May 6, promoters announced this morning. Opening act is Big Wreck.

Presented by the Keystone Centre, Brandon Sun and KX-96, tickets for the show go on sale Friday, March 1. Prices are not yet known.

The concert will be part of the biggest Canadian tour ever for the band.

Observers say the group — vocalist Vince Neil, guitarist Mick Mars, bassist Nikki Sixx and drummer Tommy Lee — have "commandeered the rock pantheon for 30 years," but still manages to put on the same style of high-energy hard-rock show it did in the 1980s.

Tickets can be purchased online, over the phone or at the box office.

It is just the latest in a series of big concerts this year that have drawn music fans back to Brandon's arena.
