Motorcyclist dies after colliding with truck near Roseisle

A collision between a truck and a motorcycle in the Manitou area resulted in the death of a man Tuesday night.

The accident occurred shortly before 10:30 p.m. when Manitou RCMP and local emergency services personnel responded to a head-on crash between a motorcycle and a truck 6.5 kilometres west of Roseisle.

The eastbound motorcycle was rounding a curve when it collided with a westbound truck.

The man driving the motorcycle, a 31-year-old, was transported to hospital, where he later died. His name will not be released. The driver of the truck, a 22-year-old man, was not injured.

Alcohol is not considered a factor. The investigation continues.

Either somebody cut the corner too tight, or somebody swung too wide on the curve. I'll bet the guy who's alive to give his statement says that the motorcyclist was at fault.
