Nearly 700 municipal officers from across the province have registered for a two-day seminar in Brandon that starts tomorrow.
The seminar, hosted by the Association of Manitoba Municipalities at the Keystone Centre will feature a number of professional development sessions and a trade show on Wednesday, as well as the provincial agriculture minister, Ron Kostyshyn, in the morning.
On Thursday, Brock Carlton, the CEO of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, will speak about the New Canada Building Fund as well as other municipal priorities at 9 a.m., followed by a number of policy break-out sessions.
Also Thursday morning, the province is expected to discuss its soon-to-be-announced surface water management strategy.
