Mushy weather here for a bit

Repeat after me: Spring is coming.

And despite the fact that we're still in the middle of February, milder days are starting to become more and more common — this week, especially.

Environment Canada is calling for a high of -2 C this afternoon, under mixed skies, with a little bit of wind.

Clouds will increase after midnight as the wind dies down, but it'll stay mild all night long, hitting a low of just -7 C.

For tomorrow, the forecast calls for about 2 cm of snow, beginning around noon, with a high of -1 C.

Later this week, temperatures will cool down a little — with a high of -11 C predicted for Thursday and -10 C on Friday, with mostly sunny skies both days.

The weekend will be mild again, with a high of -4 C on Saturday, then -6 C on Sunday, though some clouds and possible flurries are called for on Sunday.

Flurries could continue into next week, with a high of -11 C on Monday.

The normal high for this time of year is -8 C, the normal low is -18 C.
