Nasty weather threatens Westman bringing possible hail/tornados

Thunderstorms makes their way across the Prairies. Some areas of Westman could see 50 to 100 mm of rain.

Environment Canada has issued severe thunderstorm alerts for Brandon and most of southwestern Manitoba.

A slow-moving line of thunderstorms have developed near the Manitoba/Saskatchewan border, working east toward Brandon.

Severe thunderstorms with the possibility of hail are expected in the Wheat City in the afternoon. Some areas of Westman could get 50 to 100 mm of rain throughout the day as the storm continues to move gradually northeast.

Funnel clouds have been reported in southern Manitoba and people are advised to take immediate safety precautions if threatening weather approaches.
