The province will today unveil two sets of billboards on Highway 1 to honour people who served in the military.

The billboards, written in English and French, are located near St. Francis Xavier going west on Highway 1 and near the Shilo turn-off on Highway 1 going east.

There is a ceremony today and invitations to the unveiling ceremony have been extended to military leaders, government and civic dignitaries, and anyone else who would like to come.

Great...one more sign for rubber-neckers to gawk at in bewilderment as they plow into a school bus.

There's Canada Day and Rememberance Day, both events have the entire country shut down for the day.
THAT'S ENOUGH.

The Honour Bestowed Should Embrace More of Our Province.

Why not rename the entire highway span across Manitoba.?
There are many veterans in Brandon and along the way who also served in the military. In fact Brandon played a leading role during and after the 2nd World War, as did Virden, with # 19 EFTS (elementary flying training school) BCATP (British Commonwealth Air Training Program)
Com'on Manitoba, DO IT RIGHT!
