» UPDATE: Road conditions continue to improve in Westman

While it was a slippery - and for some, expensive - morning in Westman, the road conditions have improved.

Freezing rain followed by a dusting of snow overnight resulted in many vehicles sliding into ditches.
In Brandon, First Street North between the Trans-Canada Highway and Kirkcaldy Drive was closed in both directions due to vehicles are in the ditch but has since reopened.

Highway 10 South from Boissevain to Brandon was a parking lot for hours, with many vehicles in ditches or simply unable to navigate the slick road near Riverside Valley.

The Environment Canada forecast shows today as being cloudy, with a wind east 20 km/h. High plus 3 C.

Tonight will be cloudy, with a 60-per-cent chance of showers overnight. Wind east 20 km/h becoming light late this evening. Low minus 2 C.

On Tuesday, it will be cloudy, with a 60-per cent chance of showers in the morning. Becoming partly cloudy early in the evening. High plus 5 C.
