Police investigating a garage break-in from late last month got a break in the case when some stolen tools turned up at a local pawn shop.

The garage, located in the 400-block of Sixth Street, was broken into on Jan. 27, and a number of tools were stolen from inside, including a rachet set, a drill and an air tools set.

However, once the stolen tools were found at a pawn shop, investigators were able to identify and track down a couple of suspects.

A 28-year-old Brandon woman and a 22-year-old Brandon man were arrested yesterday and have each been charged with possession of property obtained by crime yesterday. They have court dates in April.
