Police made two minor arrests Monday evening.

They said one was a 62-year-old man who was found passed out in a back lane at about 9:20 p.m. on Monday. He was lying in the 600-block laneway between 13th Street and 14th Street. He was a man of no fixed address, they say, and had no one around to care for him. Instead, he spent the night in the drunk tank.

Then, a little over an hour later, at about 10:25 p.m., police were called to a hotel in the 2700-block of Victoria Avenue. There they found a 51-year-old man who was apparently causing a disturbance by banging on various room doors. He was drunk, police say, and refused to leave when staff tried to kick him out. He, too, spent night in the drunk tank, and was to be released once he sobered up.
