Police are warning people that nice weather can sometime bring out naughty behaviour.

With more people out and about at all hours of the day and night, the Brandon Police Service says everyone should remove valuables from their vehicles, or keep them out of site. Also, people should remember to lock up their vehicles, homes, garages and bicycles. While most people are just out to enjoy the nice weather, they say, there are those who will try and take advantage of others given the opportunity.

They also said Thursday morning that, in the past 24 hours, they had received several reports of vehicles being entered, and had arrested five people for various minor offences.

Two people were nabbed under existing arrest warrants, and another two were hauled in to the drunk tank. The fifth person was jailed for breaching the peace.
