Brandon police made three assault arrests on Wednesday after relationship disputes turned physical.
They were called to the first one just before 8 a.m. that day, where a 22-year-old woman said that her boyfriend, 23, had been drunk the night before and had taken her keys and debit card when leaving the home.
Police say that when they got there, though, both he and she admitted that they had assaulted each other. They were each arrested, and later released with a few conditions. They're to appear in court on Sept. 25 to face charges of assault.
The second assault call only came in just past 6 p.m. A witness reported seeing a man assault a woman in the Cornell Bay area. The 21-year-old victim was found with bruising and swelling in some areas of her upper body.
The suspect, a 29-year-old man, was found nearby being held by Manitoba Housing security. He was arrested and jailed overnight, to appear in court on Thursday.
