Police shut down national hot line for tips on murdered, missing women
Winnipeg police are today shutting down their national hot line for tips into Manitoba’s missing and murdered women.
The national hot line was set up in June, 2012.
Police said it was created to help investigators with the gathering of information in relation to the arrest of Shawn Cameron Lamb, 52, also last June. He stands accused in the killings of Tanya Nepinak, Lorna Blacksmith and Carolyn Sinclair.
In the absence of the hot line, the public is asked to call Crime Stoppers (204-786-8477) or the homicide unit (204 986-6508) with information.
