Liberal candidate Rolf Dinsdale is still holding the lead in Brandon-Souris, according to a poll by Forum Research.
According to the poll conducted for the Toronto Star, a full 50 per cent of respondents indicated support for Dinsdale compared to 36 per cent for the Conservative’s Larry Maguire.
There were 443 responses in Brandon-Souris with a margin or error of five percentage points.
"I think we’re getting some indications about where the country is going, reactions to the Senate scandal, reactions to the Trudeau leadership and the Mulcair leadership, and the interplay between the Liberals and NDP," Lorne Bozinoff, the president of Forum Research said according to the Star.
Dinsdale's lead is well outside of the Forum-calculated margin of error and is the largest lead in any of the four current Canadian by-elections.
Dinsdale leads Maguire by 14 points in the latest poll, conducted just a couple of days before actual vote. That's more than the 13-point Liberal lead in its relatively safe of Toronto Centre and more than the 12-point lead that the Liberals have in the riding of Bourassa.
It's even more than the 11-point lead the Conservative candidate Ted Falk has in Provencher over the Liberals' Terry Hayward.
The NDP's Cory Szczepanski is at eight per cent and Green Party's David Neufeld comes in at five percent.
