A man who was intoxicated and banging on a door in Dauphin was found with marijuana after police arrived to remove him.
The Dauphin municipal RCMP were called to remove an unwanted man from a Seventh Avenue N.E. home at about 7 p.m. on Saturday. The suspect had been banging on a door, but hadn’t managed to get inside the home, despite doing some minor damage to the door.
Officers say the man was intoxicated, and when they arrested and searched him, he was found to be in possession of about five grams of marijuana. He was also already on probation.
A 19-year-old Winnipeg man is to appear in Dauphin court on July 17, to face charges of mischief, breach of probation and possession of a controlled substance.
