Provincial Ex fills top spot

The Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba has announced its new general manager.

Ron Kristjansson, formerly of Agriculture Canada and Federated Coop will head up the Ex — an announcement that comes nearly two months after the past GM, Rob O’Connor, stepped down after just seven months on the job to pursue a job in Saskatchewan.

Kristjansson volunteered with the organization for a number of years in various positions and has served on the board of directors for the last four years.

"The Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba is an organization that has a special place in my life and I am truly looking forward to working with them to produce world class events here in Brandon," he stated in the press release.

The Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba proudly holds three fairs annually — the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair, the Manitoba Summer Fair and the Manitoba Livestock Expo.
