A second woman has been the victim of a purse-snatching from a local parking lot.

Police say that sometime in the late afternoon on Thursday, a woman was at her vehicle in the parking lot of a south-end business when she was approached by another woman who asked her for directions, then grabbed her purse, and made off in a waiting car.

The suspect is described as a middle-aged Caucasian woman with dark hair, and the getaway car was a dark-coloured four-door car.

The victim wasn't injured, and police say they continue to investigate. They are also warning people to be careful about concealing or securing their valuables whenever possible.

Although police didn't link it to any earlier incident, the same technique was used to snatch a purse on Monday.
