Rain dampens expectations for the weekend

Rain will continue today and it's expected to cool things off for the weekend.

About 10 mm of rain is expected throughout the day, with east winds at 20 km/h and a high of just 8 C this afternoon.

More rain — another 5–10 mm — is expected overnight, although the winds will die off late this evening. The temperature will drop to a low of 4 C.

Tomorrow, the rain will finally end early in the morning, and skies could partly clear later in the day, but any wind will only bring with it a high of 14 C.

Sunday will be cold, with a high and a low of 0 C.

Monday will be even worse, although it will see a high of 3 C under sunny skies, the Monday low is expected to be -12 C

Warmer termperatures could return Tuesday, with a forecast high of 14 C and a low of -4 C.

The normal high temperature for this time of year is 10 C, and the normal overnight low is -2 C.
