Regina men arrested at Brandon bus depot, cocaine seized
Two Regina men nabbed at the Brandon bus depot downtown were found with about $5600 in cocaine, police say.
Blue Hills RCMP officers first learned of two suspicious males on the Trans-Canada Highway, east of Carberry, just before 9 a.m. Wednesday morning.
The investigation led RCMP officers to the Brandon Greyhound depot, where the two men were located. Both were found to be on probation orders from Saskatchewan and had apparently driven an abandoned vehicle while prohibited from driving. A search uncovered the cocaine.
A 21-year-old and an 18-year-old man, both from Regina, were arrested, taken into custody and are facing charges for prohibited driving, and breach of probation as well as possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Both were remanded into custody and were to make their first court appearance in Brandon court today.
