Residents urged to report broken curbs

Brandonites who notice that their curbs have been damaged by snow plows over the winter are asked to call in and report the locations so city crews can clean up and repair the damage.

Coun. Corey Roberts said at the most-recent council meeting that he had noted areas along Louise Avenue and 16th Street were many chunks of concrete had broken off, and could be easily used by vandals.

City manager Scott Hildebrand said that that area would be cleaned up as soon as possible, but that other damaged areas should be reported to the city's public works department at 204-729-2285 for clean-up by city crews.
