Children react as water crashes down on them at the new spray pad in Rideau Park on Thursday afternoon. The facility opened this summer but has been closed for the weekend as crews repair a pipe-fitting.

The brand-new Rideau Park spray park still has a few kinks to work out.

The city says that it'll be closed until Tuesday while crews repair a problem pipe-fitting. The water at the spray park was shut off Thursday morning when the problem was discovered.

The pray park is Brandon's fourth and has been open for less than a month. Spray parks at Stanley Park, Kin Park and Westridge Park remain open, as do paddle pools at Valleyview, Riverheights and Kikcaldy.

The city also has two outdoor public pools that are open, including one at Rideau Park just next to the spray park. The other is at the Keystone Centre.
