River search comes up empty-handed
Police say that a person seen vanishing in the Assiniboine River may be a missing Brandon man. But they haven't been able to confirm the connection.
The 52-year-old Brandon man was reported missing Saturday, the same day that a man with a similar description was seen pushing himself into the river from the Third Street dam. Witnesses say that he was pulled out to the middle of the river, where he went under, and they did not see him re-surface.

Brandon Fire and Emergency Services have searched the river downstream from the dam several times, including yesterday morning and afternoon, but have not found anything.
