MJHL commissioner Kim Davis announces the move of the Winnipeg Saints to Virden on Wednesday morning.

The Winnipeg Saints of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League will relocate to Virden for the upcoming 2012/13 season.

The purchase of the team by Virden Hockey Ventures Inc. was officially announced Wednesday morning at the new Virden and Area Recreation Facility.

"Westman is a thriving, hockey loving area that is ready to be host to a Jr. A team and we are thrilled to have made this a reality," said Dale Lewis, president of Virden Hockey Ventures.

Troy Leslie, former coach of AAA Midget Southwest Cougars, has been named head coach of Virden's team.
