Second suspect arrested

Police have made a second arrest after a break-in earlier this month.

The home, in the 1500-block of Third Street, was broken into in early February. Police were originally called to the home on Feb. 7, and the break-in had happened sometime in the previous four days.

Police said at the time that walls and furniture in the home had been vandalized, and a laptop computer had been stolen.

A few days later, they were able to track down a suspect — a 16-year-old Brandon boy who allegedly had a concealed knife on him when he was arrested. He has a court date in mid-March.

Yesteday, police managed to find a second suspect, and arrested him as well.

A 15-year-old Brandon boy will appear in court on March 20 to be charged with break and enter, mischief, theft under $5,000, and possession of stolen property.
