A man previously charged with a number of drug and weapons charges now faces a new one.
Police say that they have re-arrested a 49-year-old Brandon man after they found that a rifle seized earlier this month turns out to have been stolen.
The man was first arrested on Jan. 9, when police raided a Franklin Street home and found more than a thousand dollars worth of cocaine and marijuana, as well as cash, plus two rifles, ammunition and two crossbows.
One of the rifles, a .22 calibre, has now been found to have been stolen from a home in Stonewall in 2007.
The suspect is to appear in court in March. Along with the earlier drugs and weapons charges, he'll now also face a charge for possessing a weapon obtained by crime.
