Slow renos force Wellness Expo cancellation

This year's Wellness Expo has been cancelled, after organizers say that the venue won't be renovated in time.

The show was scheduled for Feb. 22–24 in the Keystone Centre.

"We received word from our venue earlier this week that the renovations they are undertaking will not be complete by the show date," said Rick Thiessen, the show's operator. "This is only the second time in 30 years have had to cancel a show and I am deeply disappointed."

This would have been the third year for the Wellness Expo in Brandon, although it's been going on longer in Winnipeg.

Last year's show was held in the Victoria Inn and drew about 30 vendors to promote lifestyle improvements as well as seminars that ranged from financial information to adjusting your way of life just with body language.
