A man caught smoking with young children in his vehicle told police he was someone he wasn’t.
Sunday at 1:13 p.m., Brandon police stopped a vehicle in the 3400 block of Victoria Avenue after observing the driver smoking in a vehicle with children inside.
He gave a false name, but his actual identity was determined through an investigation. The man was also found to be on a recognizance order to not communicate with one of his passengers.
The Brandon man, 28, was arrested for breach of recognizance and public mischief. He was lodged in jail to appear in court on Monday.
