Stolen garden tools turn up in Dauphin

Two Dauphin residents face charges after it's alleged that they stole some garden tools and sold them to another Dauphin resident.

Police were first called on April 26, after a break-and-enter was reported. Dauphin police went to a home on 10th Avenue SW, where a shed had been broken into and a lawn mower, grass trimmer and leaf blower were stolen.

On May 3, the stolen items were recovered by investigators after they learned that they had been sold to another Dauphin resident.

The next evening, on Friday, May 4, investigators went to a Main Street home and arrested two people they believe responsible for the theft.

A 24-year-old Dauphin man and a 26-year-old Dauphin woman have each been charged with possession of property obtained by crime. They were to appear in Dauphin court today.
