Sunny morning won’t last

Clear and sunny skies this morning are not a prediction for the rest of the day.

Environment Canada is calling for increasing cloudiness later this morning, with winds picking up to 20 km/h from the north, with gusts up to 40 km/h. The high this afternoon will be just 10ºC.

However, clouds will move out later this evening, with skies clearing tonight as the winds die down. The overnight low will be 2ºC.

Tomorrow looks to be the nicest day of the week, with sunny skies and a high of 17ºC, although a bit of southwest wind could pick up in the afternoon.

A formerly-sunny forecast for at least part of the weekend has dissipated. Now, forecasters call for cloudy skies on both Saturday and Sunday, with a good chance of showers both days. The Saturday high will be 15ºC, then 11ºC on Sunday.

Skies clear again for Monday, with a high of 10ºC, followed by sun on both Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs around 13ºC both days.

The normal high for this time of year is 18ºC. The normal low is 4ºC.

The warmest it's ever been on this date was in 1987, when it was 32.5ºC. The coldest ever was -8ºC, in 1980.
