Sunny skies set for weekend after gloomy Friday

If you can get through today, the weekend should be brighter.

Environment Canada is calling for mainly cloudy skies all day today, with below-normal temperatures of about -7 C. Tonight, with a low around -11 C, will stay overcaast as well, before clearing up tomorrow morning.

Saturday is expected to be mainly sunny, although a bit of wind should blow in, at 30 km/h from the northwest, which will make the high of -5 C a little less comfortable.

Chillier temperatures are expected for a sunny Sunday, which should see a high of just -10 C.

Clouds return Monday, with possible flurries, and a high of -5 C.

Then, it's sun predicted for Tuesday, clouds on Wednesday and sun again on Thursday, with highs around -6 C all those days.

The normal high for this time of year is -3 C. The normal high of -13 C.
