Sunshine ahead, finally

After a long stretch of grey, dreary days, sunny relief is finally in sight.

Environment Canada says that skies will clear around noon today, and winds will die down, although the high temperature will be just 12 C.

There's a possible risk of frost tonight, though, as clear skies help the temperature drop to 1 C overnight.

Things are expected to improve tomorrow, with sunny skies and highs of 19 C.

It'll be similarly nice for the rest of the week. Thursday's forecast is for a high of 19 C and a low of 6 C, under clear and sunny skies. Friday, although there's a 40 per cent chance of showers, with a mix of sun and cloud, will also see a high of 20 C and a low of 9 C.

And the weekend is shaping up nicely — Saturday could see a high of 23 C and a low of 9 C, with nary a cloud in sight.

The normal high for this time of year is 21 C. The normal low is 9 C.
