Suspect returns to scene of the crime

A man was arrested Monday after a woman was sent to hospital following a fight in Brandon.

At 1:27 p.m., a disturbance was reported at a residence in the 800-block of 19th Street, police reported Wednesday.

It was determined a woman had been assaulted by a man she knew, during some type of altercation.

The victim had been punched a number of times and suffered injuries to her upper body that required treatment in hospital, police said.

A suspect had left the scene, but returned later in the day and was arrested.

A 25 year old Brandon man is to appear in court on Nov. 5, on a charge of assault causing bodily harm.
