Teen arrested after bear spray assault
A Souris 14-year-old faces charges after a convenience store clerk was hit with bear spray, in an attack whose motives are still unclear.
Two male suspects entered the store, in the 800-block of First Street, on April 14, and one of them sprayed the clerk. But nothing was taken from the business, and police say they don't know why the clerk was assaulted.
However, on Wednesday, one of the suspects was identified and arrested.
A 14-year-old Souris boy is to appear in court on May 15 on charges of assault with a weapon and possession of a prohibited weapon.
