Teen charged after rollover death

A Dauphin man was killed after a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt SS rolled in a ditch along Highway 10 in Riding Mountain National Park on Monday evening.
A 17-year-old Dauphin boy faces a litany of charges after the car he was driving rolled over and a passenger was killed.
The teen, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with one count of impaired driving causing death, two counts of impaired driving causing bodily harm, one count of refusing a blood demand involving death, two counts of refusing a blood demand involving bodily harm, one count of dangerous driving causing death and two counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
He was also charged with being a novice driver with alcohol in his body under the Highway Traffic Act and with consuming liquor under 18 years of age under the Liquor Control Act.
Parkland Area RCMP, with the assistance of the RCMP Criminal Crash Investigation Team, announced the charges this morning.
Dauphin RCMP and members of the Dauphin Fire Department and EMS responded to a single-vehicle rollover 25 km south of Dauphin around 8:50 p.m. on Monday. The crash happened along Highway 10 inside Riding Mountain National Park.
A 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt SS was heading north when it ran off the road and rolled in the ditch.
A 20-year-old man, who was a passenger in the car, died at the scene. His name hasn't been released.
The driver and two other passengers were taken to hospital; the driver has since been released. RCMP initially said the other passengers' injuries weren't life-threatening, but later said their condition wasn't clear.
The teen was released on a promise to appear in Dauphin court on July 25.

So this teen is bragging on his FB about how fast he was going. Idiots here in Dauphin are telling him it's not his fault and not to worry about....hmm now stupid are people, he should be an outcast and shun by his fellow students, in case people forgot, he killed someone because of his actions. And he could have killed more. The only one at fault is this 17 year old idiot. He chose to speed and drink and drive, no one else!!! Wake up and smell the shit your shoveling Dauphin....small towns breed small minds.
