Teen dies in rollover near Glenboro

A 15-year-old girl is dead following a single-vehicle crash near Glenboro Sunday night.

Three other people were not seriously injured in the 10 p.m. rollover, just south of the community.

RCMP say the driver was a 16 year old from the Glenboro area. The driver apparently lost control of the 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche and rolled into a field.

The victim was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the collision. Driver inexperience is also believed to be a contributing factor, say police.

An RCMP traffic collision analyst and members of the Criminal Crash Investigation Team along with the Blue Hills Detachment continue to investigate.
