A 17-year-old boy hanging around a local elementary school was carrying drugs and cash, police say.
Officers checked the boy a little after 8 p.m. on Thursday when they spotted him near the Betty Gibson school grounds. He was found to be carrying a small amount of marijuana as well as cash.
He was charged with possession of less than 30 grams of marijuana and has a court date of Oct. 9.
