Police who pulled over an SUV this morning arrested the two teenagers inside after the vehicle tirned out to have been stolen.

Officers pulled over the 2001 Nissan SUV at about 4:15 a.m. in the 600-block of 15th Street. They say that there were two teenage boys inside.

Investigation revealed that the vehicle had been stolen earlier from a home on Waterloo Crescent, and the pair were arrested.

Two Brandon boys, one 16 and the other 15, are to appear in court on Jan. 13, on charges of theft of a motor vehicle and possession of stolen property.

The 16-year-old also faces further charges under the Highway Traffic Act of driving without a driver’s license or driver’s liability insurance.
