Someone made off with a brand-new cargo trailer, but they apparently left a previously-stolen pickup behind.

Police were called to the 700-block of Highland Avenue just past 9 a.m. on Tuesday, where the business owner reported the stolen cargo trailer.

The trailer, a white Interstate enclosed cargo trailer, is eight feet by 20 feet and had a chromed checkered-plate stone guard on the front. It is new, and doesn't have a license plate. It had been stolne sometime after 5:30 p.m. on Monday afternoon.

The business owner also said that a pickup truck had been abandoned on their property overnight. Police say the 2004 Ford F350 turned out to have been stolen from Beausejour; they've towed it for forensice examination.
